I'm a journalist with over 30 years of experience who is forging a new path in photography I'm a journalist with over 30 years of experience who is forging a new path in photography and critical urbanism.
Having spent most of my career in news journalism, mostly for Reuters, I had an amazing opportunity to work on some of the biggest news stories in the past few decades, reporting from more than 30 countries, and to explore new ways of reporting them. I managed global editorial teams for more than two decades, spearheaded the development of award-winning news websites and trained journalists in Asia, Africa, North America and Europe.
The stories of people and how they live have fascinated me throughout my journalism career and led me to embark on my latest (ad)venture - photography and urban studies. My practice is rooted in a deep curiosity about cities and where they are heading at a time of unprecedented urban growth. By constructing narratives about the transition of urban spaces, I aim to reflect what unifies people and places in all their complexities.
I'm interested in commissions as writer, editor and photographer, and in collaborations with others working on urban narratives. Feel free to get in touch via email or through my social media accounts.
